A concept for an outfit inspired by Izuminokami Kanesada from Touken Ranbu.
(Please note: Items may not be to scale with each other in the picture.)
Outfit Notes:
This outfit was mostly inspired by Kane’s battle clothes. I was aiming to design something that would be easy to wear (for me at least), while keeping an ‘essence’ of the traditional Japanese clothing that Kane wears. (I haven’t actually ever worn traditional Japanese clothing; my only experience is with ‘Western’ clothing. Though, in the future, I’d like to try wearing certain pieces of traditional Japanese wear to see if I like it. ^-^)
> Dark grey sleeveless turtle-neck shirt ~ Inspired by the armour he wears underneath his clothes.
> Light grey slacks ~ In place of his hakama.
> Dark red kimono-style ‘jacket’.
> Custom obi (belt) ~ This was coloured according to the obi and armour he wears around his middle. (It would probably need to be 2 obi; one would be the gold and dark brown layers and the other would be the brown and white layers.)
> Dark grey calf-high boots ~ Kane’s are actually knee-high, but I felt a shorter boot would work better for everyday wear for me.
> Red stud earrings.
> Gold crest pin.
> Shinsengumi cape.
> (Not pictured) Red hair accessories.
Extra:
One thing I tried to draw, but failed at was a pair of gloves styled after Kane’s gloves and hand protectors.
